Eon: Dragoneye Reborn by Alison Goodman

2.5/5 stars

Personally I was excited to read this book. When I read the summery it sounded unique and interesting. When I read it, I found it disappointing and I found myself skimming through some of the parts.

Eon is takes place somewhere in Asia. Japan, China IDK it never specified in the book. Eon is a boy of twelve training his "sword skills" and working on him "magical aptitude." Eon however holds a secret that is very dangerous. Her name is Eona and yes, she is a girl.

I never heard that much about this book, but again, the summery was very interesting and unique sounding. When I finally picked it up, it started out pretty darn interesting. As the book progressed however, I started skimming some of the pages/scenes. Then one part in the middle got me hooked again and slowly went down hill and back up slightly.

I have a problem with the world building as well. All we know is that it takes place somewhere in Asia. BUT WHERE IN ASIA??????? It never said.

I really liked the characters in this book. My favorite would have to be Ryko or Eon. I don't know why, I just liked them a lot.

I guess this book was decent for me. It was different from the other books I read. Maybe I will pick up the next one? Right now I have no interest in picking up the sequel [b:Eona: The Last Dragoneye|7992995|Eona The Last Dragoneye (Eon, #2)|Alison Goodman|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1388543903s/7992995.jpg|14936811]
