Bea Schumacher is a plus-size fashion blogger who is finally at a point in her life where she loves the person she is and the body she has. Upon watching an episode of “Main Squeeze” (essentially The Bachelorette), she makes a viral post about how the show is unrealistic and doesn’t show real people or represent their audience. In a turn of events, the backlash that the show gets from this blog has the creative team making some big changes, the first being casting Bea as the next Main Squeeze.

I essentially read this whole book in one sitting. I just couldn’t put it down. It did take me a hot second to get invested in the characters, but once I was – I was absolutely hooked. Though romance is the main idea throughout the whole book, it is not smutty. There are a couple of lightly spicy scenes, but they are more romantically angsty than anything else. I was very satisfied with the ending of the book. It had that feeling of everything ending the way it was supposed to, regardless of if it was what you wanted to happen. One thing I wasn’t exceptionally fond of was the use of text conversations and email conversations throughout the book, particularly in the beginning. Although a few of these are fine, I don’t like when they play a major role in the book’s style.

Pros:
Loved the Ending
Great Character Development
Interesting Side Characters
Engaging from the beginning

Cons:
Didn’t love some of the book formatting
