Very nice YA novel. The main protagonist is a teen female. Rick Yancey has done a very nice job of building a culture and filling out the characters. Unlike many YA novelists, Yancey switches perspective among several different characters and does it well, making it very clear when you are now in the head of a different person. I like this style because it provides the storyteller more flexibility in building suspense and foreshadowing events. I use this style as well.
I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.
