Infinity Son by Adam Silvera
3.0

Silvera wastes not time jumping into the heart of the story which at times is to the downfall of the story. The action moves quickly, but at times, especially toward the end, I feel like the story makes jumps and introduces too many new elements without fully developing them. Throughout the story there are different types of magical beings with little to no explanation of exactly what they are, making it hard to determine who is really on the wrong side of the war. While we know it is the first in a series and there would be cliffhangers, too much was introduced right at the end.
