I read The Paris Novel after a string of mysteries and books with plot twists, so I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. It never did. Ultimately,  I found The Paris Novel to cover a woman’s reflective journey throughout Paris.

Minor: Child abuse and Sexual assault

There was a brief mention of the main character being abused by her mother’s boyfriend. It felt odd because I thought it would become a bigger plot point later on. While it does have minor impact on the main character’s choices, it does not appear to be a significant amount.
