Angelfall by Susan Ee

I honestly don’t know where to start with this review so I’m just going to let all my feelings pour out.

I adored this.

So the basics of the story is that angels have taken over the Earth, causing the human race to almost be extinct, leaving the remaining humans to fend for themselves. So to sum it up: The world is a bit of a mess.

We follow Penryn, a 17 year old girl just trying to survive with her mother and little sister Paige. However, one night Penryn and her family end up being in the wrong place at the wrong time, which leads to Paige being taken away by an angel. To get her back, Penryn teams up with a wingless angel named Raffe and so the story begins.

At first I thought that this might be a paranormal romance, but that couldn’t be so far from the truth. It’s a survival story, about an angel and a human coming together and putting aside their differences to get what they both love back.

This book is extremely dark and gruesome, which I LOVED. Honestly I just wanted more of it, it was so interesting.

The ending. Oh my God I felt pain in my heart and could imagine the scene so vividly and I can’t say anymore because I don’t want to spoil but oh God it was good.

Also when Raffe said “I don’t even like you” aghhhhhh.
I don’t even know why that line caused such an emotional reaction in me but it did.

Highly recommend!
