OKAY SO as a smut read specifically this book is fantastic. The plot is interesting and there’s a lot of action in addition to all the spice.
Dani is a mercenary working for a covert, non governmental group (the Guild). While she is, as expected, a beautiful and badass main character, she also has flaws and makes mistakes throughout the book, which made her more likable (to me, anyway).
Dani gets in over her head when instead of the huntress, she becomes the hunted- and a game of cat and mouse ensues as a secondary plot to her completing her contract missions. Throw in an emerging love triangle between a coworker who is much more than he seems and a morally grey villain and things start to get spicy. There’s a lot of plot going on but it’s still fairly easy to follow, and I flew through the book.
Essentially this is a dark themed romance espionage action thriller with smut included- and if that sounds like it’s up your alley then I highly recommend this one. Check TW ⚠️
Bonus: this is a GREAT audiobook. The narrators are top notch and easy on the ears.
