It took a while but this book did grow on me. I guess it took me a while to adjust to the trope-y-ness of the premise, but if you suspend your disbelief just enough (and excuse mistakes like the heroine paying for her food twice or her tugging on the collar of a henley, which by definition, is a collarless shirt) it’s a fun read and a good twist on small-town romance. But don’t expect it to change your life.
