Graveyard Shift by M.L. Rio

I would read anything M.L. Rio writes at this point.

Graveyard Shift was a compelling and creepy story that is perfect for the spooky season. Her characters are all so well crafted and fleshed out, I instantly fell for them.

The format of this story (being a novella), really worked. I loved that it was set over a night and how we got to sit with what was happening and guess at where everything was going, all the while getting answers quite quickly.

This was creepy and wonderful and weird and just beautiful. Hands down a new favourite. It's something I can see myself rereading every October. Or on nights when I can't sleep.
