My honors race and urban public policy class were assigned half of the stories mentioned in the book, thus, I do not think it is justified to give a rating. However, the stories that I did read were very touching and eye opening as I only known a Chicago after the demolition of the public housing. I usually do not like anecdote type of books, but I thought these were very engaging and glad that these stories are available for the public to read. You do need to come into this book with a basic knowledge of public housing in Chicago as it jumps right into each person's stories.
