I struggled to get through this. Don’t get me wrong, the book was super fun. It was funny and thoughtful. The banter was really good and I found myself laughing out loud several times.

The thing I loved most is the fact that we knew a lot about the side characters and their backstories. I enjoyed knowing them as much as I did. Knowing about their families and quirks more in depth helped me love them more whenever they did come into the story.

And the entire hockey team was basically like Anastasia’s family because of their respect for Nate. They would go running for Anastasia in a brotherly way and defend her whenever she wasn’t around.

I was expecting more enemies to lovers with this but really early on, Nate was instantly in love and Anastasia was more frustrated with the entire situation but doesn’t really *hate* Nate at all. It was kind of insta love if you ask me.

I love the mental health rep in this book. Anastasia literally has a scene or two when she speaks with her therapist and I think that’s such a great message to readers. Even with the physically disability rep, Robbie is in a wheelchair BUT he’s one of my favorite characters who bags Anastasia’s best friend 👀 I was hoping. They would be book 2s characters.

I’m a sucker for epilogues which I loved for this story❤️
But overall I skimmed through this book more than I read it. It was entertaining but I felt something missing. Beautiful cover tho!
