The Mysterious Affair at Styles
by Agatha Christie
3.5 - I liked it. I didn’t suspect the perpetrator until the big reveal, the poisoning angle was interesting, and it had key features that become trademarks for her later work (crossed paths, intermingling clues & relationships, Poirot’s methodologies, etc.).
It is evident that this is her first novel however, as I felt it was a bit clunky at times compared to later books. Overall though, it was enjoyable.
