The Wedding Night Affair by L.C. Sharp

4.0

Excellent beginning. More historical than thriller. Bonus point for being Georgian not Regency. Slow-built, subtle romance. Not enough sleuthing in spite of the terrific murder plot. Lots of focus on building up Juliana and Ash's family histories. Ending was too easy but you would most likely forget that this was supposed to be a murder investigation at this point. Not too impressed with the hero so far. Nice enough guy but hasn't shown enough sleuthing wit. Heroine is easy to sympathise. Cover picture is a few decades off.
