As usual, Liz Tomforde presents me with a long winded romance that I don’t expect to love and I absolutely eat it up. Gahhh, and Kai is elite.

This book put me through it… I wasn’t expecting to feel so many things but it made me smile and it made me cry. CRY. This silly little romance book had so much depth and the characters were all, I mean ALL, amazing. From Kai and Miller to her dad and his brother and ugh, just all around perfect.

My only complaint was the fact that the entire book she tries to remind him and herself that she’s leaving at the end of the summer to go back to her life traveling and earning her reputation as an award winning chef… which I think was annoying because I was like, why do you keep bringing uh up every 3 seconds when we all know you aren’t leaving. And then what did she do? She left! The audacity. 😂

But seriously, it broke my heart and I went through a lot of emotions in the short time they were apart. Max and Kai deserve the whooooole world and so does Monty! I don’t know if I’v ever been quite this stressed waiting on that HEA.

I’ll never stop reading this series. Somehow it sucks me in over and over. This was by far my favorite of the series so far with Mike High falling to second place. Kai and his glasses and backwards hat just made the list of hottest fictional men. And I think I’ve finally decided that yes, I do have a thing for single dads. 🥵
