The Vietri Project by Nicola DeRobertis-Theye

Did not finish book. Stopped at 48%.
This woman in her 20s works at a bookstore that gets requests of old and odd books from a man named Vietri that lives in Italy.  She decides to go to Italy to find the man and learn more about him.

The book sounded interesting and it was plugged by someone I like on IG (I now know that they are friends and she was probably just pushing the book so her friend would get some sales/interest), but I found it to be very boring.  It is a short book at only 224 pages, but I was having such a hard time getting through it.  I hardly ever quit books, but I have too many to read, so I am DNFing this book, which is stating something.  I started it on 7/14 and I should've been finished in 2-3 days, but it is now 10 days later and I'm only 100 pages in and just can't read anymore.  The plot sounds interesting, but the story is boring and seems to meander a lot.  The writer is a good writer, but I feel like she is trying to be too lyrical.
