Deep State by Chris Hauty
Did not finish book.
This book was received as an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
DNF - This book just didn't interest me, unfortunately. It's probably someone else's cup of tea but I couldn't get into it myself.
I feel the need to explain why this book rubbed me the wrong way, but other than the contributions other people have made thus far (a slow start, the offputting way the author describes the main characters, the random interjections that make no sense, the odd choice of using present tense, and the writing seeming as though it's from a screenplay) it's mostly just... Boring. So, with some slight guilt, I have to name Deep State my first DNF book that I can ever think of.
