This book is so specific because it touches on the misogyny and homophobia as well as the toxic masculinity of the mid-Aughts as well as the way publicists(even queer publicists) had to craft the closet methodically around their clients to help protect their careers. Unfortunately, bloggers like P***z H****n made it their mission to out as many gay men as possible. I love the way the love between Cara and Ali blossoms and how she and Cara share a small piece of themselves with each other. Cara’s disclosure about being raped by her show runner at a wrap party and Ali’s discussion of what happened to Natalie to make her afraid of driving. I think they fit each other like puzzle pieces.
