Why We Broke Up
by Daniel Handler
I adored the illustrations found throughout the book - being able to have a image of the objects Min was writing about and then be able to look back on them, and tie them back to events in the book made it feel even more personal. The writing style also contributes to the very personal and realistic feel to the book! (sometimes, however, I did have to kind of back track whenever two characters were speaking, or when there was a lengthy sentence and Min interjected halfway through, so I kind of had a love/hate relationship with it)
Overall, I liked that this book had a very realistic feel when it comes to teenage relationships! It was an enjoyable read, and kind of made me feel like I was going through a breakup myself.
