Never Too Late by V Wynters

Did not finish book. Stopped at 39%.
I could not connect with this book unfortunately. The writing style did not click with me. Too descriptive of what was happening at any given time. The author was telling a story instead of showing it. And the dialogue was painful to read most of the time. Felt like the characters overexplained almost everything. I also found a lot of things very unrealistic, which didn't really help the dialogue any.
Just the way Jae connected with Idah. Like, what are the odds they both are there because of a former lover? And why is that the first thing they talk about? For me, something like that would be very personal and it wouldn't be something I brought up unless I knew the person well. And not only that, but when Idah invites Jae out for a walk, they end up at a graveyard and have a picnic in front of the grave of Idah's former lover?? Like what? You just met. This is the first time you're meeting socially and this is what you do? No I just can't. It's too unrealistic for me.

I had high hopes for this book. But the poor writing and unrealistic events happening - it just wasn't for me.
