bethpresley 's review for:
Ward D
by Freida McFadden
Okay, wow. I thought for sure I knew how this one was going to shake out, and I ended up being pretty far off. I was definitely invested from the beginning, and the back and forth with past to present kept me on my toes the whole time. I enjoyed the fact that you could never really tell if Amy was a reliable narrator or not, and it helped spike the drama once ish started hitting the fan in Ward D.
I liked the multiple layers of the characters and how they all played off each other in one way or another. The twists were pretty unexpected, the writing was gripping, and I could not wait to see what would happen next.
If you're looking for a good psychological thriller where you are constantly questioning the narrator and the motives of the surrounding characters, check this one out!
