Sunny Side Up by Jennifer L. Holm

I was looking for another graphic novel to read and I saw that a couple people have read this and enjoyed it so I knew I had to check it out!

The cover kind of reminded me of the graphic novels by Raina Telgemeier but they were different. Not only was this set during the 70's but it also dealt with drug/alcohol abuse in the family. I think it did a great way of showing the effects of what it can do to a family in an age appropriate way.

I was surprised that there wasn't a lot of dialogue in the story as well (not a bad thing but I think it would appeal to those that want to read graphic novels but aren't strong readers).
