3.5 stars. Enjoyed 50% of the book, but guessed the ending easily and felt like it was a fair bit unbelievable in terms of how characters reacted to certain events.
The book sort of fizzled out halfway through, which is a shame. Still, Cat Clarke is a great writer, it's just this particular story didn't really have any big twist or compelling conclusion that made me finish and want to recommend it to others like usual. Characters and setting and the topics broached were all masterfully done, and that alone makes it worth a read, especially for 99p on Kindle, as it is now.
