The Watchmaker of Filigree Street
by Natasha Pulley
I wasn't sure about this story while I was reading it. It felt like not a lot was happening, but that isn't correct. Instead, it is built like an intricate piece of clockwork, with every scene moving things closer to the (almost inevitable) conclusion. I've been thinking about it a great deal since I finished it and will probably re-read it soon.
