When i read reviews before i read and buy something i read the lowest ranking reviews first . There , people usually include the most annoying and bothersome thing they can find wrong with anything they read . I ignored it and bought this (obviously) and really really enjoyed it . I even lost sleep a few times because I just had to know what was coming next ! it is funny , sad , and who doesn't love sarcasm ! (i know I do)
Losing Control is an amazing novel about an unbreakable bond , want , and need between two people . (with a great cover too !!) The sample I read before buying this is a little misleading because I really thought this would be a lot darker than what it was . But I loved their story . Victoria's mother is diagnosed with cancer and desperate for money Victoria picks up extra shifts at her job . Poor girl and mother living in the slums of New York , Victoria meets Ian Kerr on a bike route she uses to deliver packages . Although he pursues her , she doesn't give him . Anyone with a brain knows he becomes our hero in the story . Immediately he is drawn to her like a moth to a flame . why ? we don't learn this until much later .
I especially loved the fact that the author researched learning disabilities . The struggles someone suffering from these issues could face on a daily basis . These things are real and it's what I felt is a great addition to the story . Aside from being beautiful and poor , Victoria is flawed in many other ways . Her determination to save and help her mother is extremely touching . Although Ian Kerr has many issues of his own . Ian is .. so great ! You will too . Despite being rich and undeniably handsome , there isn't one thing I didn't like about him . Upon learning of her situation he is more than willing to help Victoria and her mother . Their love story and bond to each other grew , it didn't feel quick and rushed . Their time spent with each other grew into sexual tension , which turned into their love . (and sex , yes there is sex and lot of it) . just imagine a Batman meets his Cinderella type of story and you get this . :) their love isn't cheesy or drawn out it is just right . His nickname for her from the moment he met her is too cute "Bunny!"
If you're looking for a hot , great weekend read buy this book you won't be disappointed !! There is no cliffhanger , we just know theres a part two because the first chapter is included at the end . Simply a continuation of their story which I'm starting on soon ! :) Onto book two !!
