leidiklecker 's review for:
Red, White & Royal Blue
by Casey McQuiston
i don't even know what to fucking say, man
edit after i collected myself:
This book is just fun! And fun! And then some more fun! It hit literally every single one of my romance kinks: enemies to lovers, secret relationship, forbidden romance,.. .
It has so much representation. There’s a bisexual girl openly talking about finding girls hot and I just! Love! Her! .
Another thing I loved: the characters are in their 20’s! There’s nothing wrong with ya books but I feel like there’s not enough books like these where the characters are in their 20’s 🙈 it’s THE age where you are trying to find yourself and trying to figure out where to go with your life and that’s what’s happening in this book too. .
And every single chapter was just perfect. It wasn’t boring for one second and there were a couple super *epic* scenes. When I was done I was crying like a baby. Amazing characters, (especially the women!!), great writing, the perfect amount of angst and humor and emotions. My favorite contemporary standalone for sure!
