This book is with no question the wierdest book ive ever read

And somehow it was amazing??

It’s an exploration of escapism and littérature, and the concept of what is real, and what is not, and whether that matters.
It explores the child’s naivety in a complex and interesting way.
This books plot is completely insane, which also is apparent in its messages.

Cause this book can be viewed in two ways:
Maybe it’s some kind of joke: it’s showing the concept of literatures complexety, and the many forms it comes in, from the perspective of the child’s eyes, also to show that some littérature must be taken by adults only (it’s a really f’ed up situation the main character comes in, and he’s just cool with it mainly, whereas an adult would look at it more seriously and actually realize that it is a kidnapping:).

And maybe it’s about a childlike fear and fantasy found and manifisted in books’ content. This book does really challenge a childish sense of fear and curiosity, wich we see in the scary stranger who wants to do bad thinks to you-eat-or slurp, to be excact-your brain, and a scary monster like figure, and the fear of your parents passing.

The more I think about it, the more I lean toward the second one i think- but both might be true:)

It was also written amazingly, and in a very direct way, which compliments and contrasts the insanity of the plot expertly.

And as a plus: I’m most definitely gonna think about this book for ages👌

All in all an amazing book🤩
4.25 stars:)🌟🌟🌟🌟

And I’m scared to go to the library now😆
