Brutal Vows by J.T. Geissinger
5.0
4.5 stars
Fire meet gasoline.
Reyna is a widow, whom everyone suspects did off with her cruel abuser of a husband of 14 years, and has vowed to never marry again. However, this was counting without Spider, the golden-hair sexy Irishman, who was not afraid to give her as good as she did with her razor sharp remarks. Reyna and Spider quickly each realise that their attraction could be fatal and endanger the alliance between the Mob and the Mafia as Spider is set to marry Lily, Reyna's niece. In a twist of events, Reyna has to substitute for Lily at the last minute, to the pleasure of Spider. But will a fake marriage, with benefits, between quasi strangers work?
Wow, I didn't think I would have enjoyed this book as much as I did. I was attracted by the blurb, but I did not anticipate how good the writing would be and how the flash romance between Reyna and Spider would be such a hot and page-turning ride. This is my first book from JTG and I loved how she wrote the rapid-fire banter between the leads. So much sassy humour every time they interacted, in or out of bed
