I Kissed an Earl by Julie Anne Long

5.0

Step aboard The Fortuna and journey along with Captain Flint and Violet as they battle the seas, pirates, and each other! Look out for the mysterious Le Chat!

I Kissed an Earl, book four in the Pennyroyal Green series by Julie Anne Long, is my favorite of the series so far! I love Violet and Flint! Their banter, adventure, and romance on the high seas! Everything is awesome!

Violet Redmond is devoted to her family and determined to find her missing brother. Captain Asher Flint, the new Earl of Ardmay, is on a mission to capture the pirate called Le Chat. In search of her brother, Violet stows away on the captain's ship. The captain is not happy upon his discovery of the stowaway, but despite his displeasure, Flint is enchanted by Violet's resourcefulness and her love for her family. Violet is such a strong-willed and clever character, but Flint has no problem matching her every move. They complement each other so well! I admire Julie's ability to craft the perfect partner for each hero and heroine.

The excitement of an adventure and romance on the seas was pouring out of this book! I loved their competitions for the captain's quarters. Witty banter is my favorite, and the verbal sparring between Flint and Violet is some of the best I've ever read! It causes some intensely steamy tension between the two and practically sets the pages on fire!
