Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert A. Heinlein

4.0

I have to say I enjoyed reading Robert Heinlein's "Stranger in a Strange Land." It's the story of the first human born on Mars, Valentine Michael Smith-- his parents were killed in a crash landing, so he is raised by martians and has a martian mindset when he returns to Earth.

Aside from learning the origins of the word "grok," what I liked most was the legal maneuverings by Michael's associate Jubal that keeps the then-naive boy in money and out of government control. I was less enthused by the weird sex cult that Michael starts, but even that panned out in an interesting manner.

Overall, this was a fun read.
