Honestly could not tell you if I like this book or not. I usually find a lot of contemporary fiction to be incredibly pretentious and self important. But it was engaging enough for me to finish, so 3 stars. 

It was incredibly frustrating to watch all the characters make terrible life decisions that led to their ultimate demise. But the themes of grief and loss within strained family structures really struck home.
