Independence Day by Richard Ford

3.0

Decent writing, albeit a tad bit too tedious for my tastes. I also thought the plot was just dangling and mostly pointless. Belabored is probably the best word for how I found the book. I'm not convinced this is Pulitzer worthy, but I can acknowledge Ford's talent as a writer. He's good with phrasing and has a fairly extensive vocabulary. But it just didn't really resonate with me all that much.
