Are You In? by P.W. Steele
1.0

The story is a bit of a convoluted mess. Andy, the protagonist who is joining a gym in order to bulk up because he wants to be like the men he's attracted to, muscled. It's a different premise from the books who have main protagonist where they want to lose weight and get in shape, and it's what interested me in the story at first. The read becomes not so much a story but a play-by-play of Andy's life where he meets the owners of the gym and is interested in one of the owner's Jack. But there was no romance to the story, it was a day in the life that turns into a type of fairy tale byplay.

Since the POV is from Andy only, you get told what he looks like, what other people think of him, and how others see him. There's nothing memorable about Andy, his day to day life, and the dialogue doesn't sound realistic. When the story moves out of his internal dialogue, it seems to come from a horribly-acted porn. It's a short read, but I couldn't honestly recommend it.
