Meant for Gabriel by Natasha Madison

4.0

*4.25 stars*

“Sweetheart, when are you going to learn that I’m never, ever going to let you fall. I will always catch you.”

These two were such a good match; fiery, witty, sexy and so swoony despite them being quite opposites.

Also, all the little nuggets, teases and easter eggs to previous books and funny sayings was everything for a die hard NM fan!

Genre: Small town romance
Tropes: Cowboy x city girl, single dad, opposites attract, accidental pregnancy, family saga, he falls first, golden retriever MMC x feisty FMC.
Trigger warnings: No.

"Sweetheart, there is no way you can fade into anything. You walk into the room, and it's like all eyes are on you."

~ arc review ~
This was such a fun, wholesome read filled with heart, heat and humor. I loved all the banter, the total sassiness, the sweet and endearing nicknames (cowboy, city girl and sweetheart - so simple, but it hits just right!), the meddling family times two and the small town charm. Also who doesn't love a rugged cowboy?

Gabriel is very swoonworthy, and he was just so sweet and a total golden retriever. The way he was all in right from the start, while also being a devoted single dad and very understanding of Zara's independence was just great.
Zara is such a headstrong and sassy woman. She spoke her mind, but she was also a bit insecure after her confidence took a hit. It was clear that she belonged in the south and not in the big city, and following her personal growth was beautiful.

"More."
"If I fuck you any harder, I'm going to split you in half."
"What's the matter, Cowboy, can't do it?"

When these two collided the result was both explosive and life-changing. While neither planed for one another, their instant connection and the off the charts chemistry made it impossible to resist. They were really good together.
My one complaint was with their communication issues, which had me very frustrated at times. Luckily, meddling families became involved (Victor for the win - I knew there was a reason he was one of my faves!).

This was a low-angst, sweet and funny story, but there were a depth to the characters and the obstacles standing in their way that added the right amount of emotion and angst and really brought out the feels.

With the teaser for the next book, I'm not sure I'm ready, though I really want Charlie's story I think my heart will be totally shattered…
