Something so chilling about the way women's bodies are societal stand ins for the character of the nation and the land, to be either paternalistically guarded or brutally ravaged, and how a whole other level of that is dumped on sex workers, ''acceptable'' targets for everyone. Extremely unsettling story in the best way.
