I really enjoyed the angle: a book club of southern housewives being confronted with a surreal situation and dealing with it in a kinda realistic and unexpected way. Although the title gives a pretty good idea about the plot, the book was able to keep me intrigued. The story was surprising, funny and dark but not too scary.
It's got the qualities of a young adult book, but with characters who are middle-aged and no romance.
