I know I did read this volume years ago. The character of Machi is explored more.

The romance of Tohru's parents is revealed. Apparently Kyo had met Kyoko before when he was a child! He knew about Tohru. Something about this haunts him, although why hasn't been revealed yet. New Year's comes once again. This time Kyo, Tohru, and Rin are staying at Kazuma's house while Yuki goes to the Sohma house. He angers Akito and ends up getting injured!
