….. well that was interesting.
I only gave it a 2 star, because that last few chapters were really good! I had a good time reading the end of this book.

Now I only read Lady and the orc 1st & then jumped to read this book. I actually wanted to read the governess book, but the author was offering this book for free on Kindle so I ended up getting it.

Now, one thing, I must say that is that I think this book might be book number five or four I cannot remember, but it’s practically the same book as book number one. The only thing that was different was that the MMC was not insufferable, and he was not a liar

With that in mind, it’s kind of hard to read a book that seems very similar to the first book in the series, and it looks like the author has continued to do the same with the other books, when I’ve read reviews about the other stories. The girl running away from Something that human men are doing & they end up in the hands of an Orc who Lie and manipulate their way into their lives and hearts.
The women call them awful obscene words and lack the want to want to learn about their world until 75% of the book. By 88% is when they kinda car but they run off or have some big fight. By 90% they realize they had a better life in Orc Mountain and by 97% the Orc are apologizing, and offering them fealty.

This seems to be the formula but with slight differences cuz the women are different lol.

This book was very difficult for me, dear I say it was more difficult than the first book. We are in the POV of the female character. Her name is Gwyn. Being in her head sucked balls, she was always putting herself down and always making up some weird story about what she thought she heard. She made a lot of assumptions, even though the truth was right in front of her face. She was constantly questioning and second-guessing everything that the orc who she was with would tell her no matter if it was the truth, she would always think it was a man manipulation and a lie.

Now I may have been a bit more confused, but I don’t believe the MMC  Joarr was lying to the FMC, I believe that there was a language barrier, and a lack of want to understand what the orc was saying. I found that the FMC never asked the MMC to explain certain terms or situations, but instead would constantly make up some thing in her head, which would lead her to being sad and depressed and upset. But I got to say something this girl is a ride or die. She’s ready to make moves for her man and women. Which every time that did happen I was really happy, but when she would easily attack the MMC, I found it strange.

This book had a lot of public display of affection in front of a lot of people. There is a lot of liquid in this book, not too much seed stuff which was nice, but there’s still was seeds mentioned

I really liked Joarr I felt like he was misunderstood by Gwynn a lot. And his people misunderstood.  I would say he was the hippy type. And he absolutely worshipped the brown Gwynn walked on. He really took care of her needs. Tried to make her feel special and asked her if she wanted to do things make it her choice.

I found that Gwynn would always mistake his actions as him being sneaky or lying to her, not telling her about some thing just yet doesn’t mean you’re lying, he has informed her that he keeps things from her that deals with him because he doesn’t know if he can trust her yet, and she always thinks he’s lying when he says stuff like that, in the book things get explained about why Gwen‘s behavior is like that but it’s still not enough. I found her to be whiny and annoying at times and yet strong and vibrant but quickly that vibrancy goes away because she is too much in her head.

I would like to read an Orc story, where the female character is strong, and assure about herself, and is able to learn to trust and use her intuition, and make sure that she ask questions and talks and listens to the orcs.  It is amazing reading this book and hearing these women make stuff up without asking for clarification. Or why your culture does something, or what does this mean and how does this value you, I think that that would help them tremendously in adapting into this world instead of constantly doubting themselves, and constantly not being able to trust orcs.

I do not know if I’m going to completely finish the rest of the series I’m a little bit more interested to read about the librarian, but I think I’m just going to go to the governess because it seems a little bit different. It’s fake dating trope, which I think is always fun. I hope that that book does not have the girl feeling completely bad about herself, and that she does not disrespect works, and their culture.
