Anne of Windy Poplars by L.M. Montgomery
3.0
Nothing particularly special about the fourth installment in the Green Gables series, but still enjoyable. I didn’t know how to feel about the story being told through letters to Gilbert at first (since we don’t get to read his replies, I felt a little disappointed but I understood why that was the case) but I got used to it as the story went on. Plus it’s not exclusively told through these letters, which is what I was worried about. Anne seems to find herself constantly taking care of the most annoying children known to man. And not just random children, the most aggravating twins AGAIN!! I was not happy to find myself in this familiar plot point. Also that one bitch, Hazel I think her name is?? Good lord I feel like I know people like her omg what a piece of fucking work. Anne has really grown up because idk how I would’ve conducted myself around someone as infuriating as that. Looking forward to the next book because if I’m not wrong, Anne and Gilbert will FINALLY be married!!!
