I went back and forth on if I even wanted to read this one…it has such amazing reviews everywhere else that I thought I’d give it a try.
I didn’t hate it, so there’s that. I might even say I liked it OK. I definitely didn’t love it.
Look. I’ve been in desperate situations for cash. I can say, however, that I’ve never accepted a job to whack someone’s husband (in any sense of the term). And I would hope that as an author of suspense/crime/whatever you want to call it, Finlay would have been more adept at handling the situation.
There were humorous moments, and a few little twists, but overall this one just didn’t float my boat as much as I hoped.
