I enjoyed this book a surprising amount! This novel managed to put a new twist, a fresh breath into the classic "something the matter with the woods" trope. I did wish for a little bit more worldbuilding to explain why everyone was just fine with ostensibly "Faerie" being right next door and wished that the Wood itself as a culture had been a little more fleshed out, but as that was not really the point of the book, I'm all right with that. What I really appreciated about Edgewood was the story and the hidden past that Emeline uncovers. 4 stars!
