A Far Wilder Magic by Allison Saft

4.0

I truly enjoyed this book and its small-town colonial, mystic-magicky vibes. The writing was great. The story was character driven with the slowest of slow-burn romances. Maybe it was a little long, but I liked settling into the slow, cozy pace. My predominant complaint is the climax. A lot more weight was given to the emotional arcs than the actual plot, making it feel rushed and underwhelming after a book's worth of buildup.
