Rating: Loved it

I truly loved this story. I read the synopsis and figured this was another crime family/mafia type story with an arranged marriage. On the surface, that’s what this was. But once you dive into it, you get soooo much more. Here are my thoughts….

Elias Omari. Let’s pause on that. Elias was a man with many layers. He was a dark force to be reckoned with but also had a desirable demeanor. He was intimidating and if you are someone he trusts and loves (which doesn’t) come easy, he will tear up the city behind you. Once he first laid eyes on Cress, he knew she would be his calm to his chaos. He didn’t play about disrespect either. The way he handled Shiloh…chilllllle…I loved Elias. Every word written about him I loved.

Cress said she was gonna take up for her sister and that was it. She didn’t want her baby sister having to marry a mad man. But this mad man made a way to her heart. I loved the way she loved him. She put forth the effort to research and learn about him and what she could do to help him. She took her job as wife and being the calm to his chaos seriously. And I loved every minute of it.

Ezekiel definitely looked out for Elias as well. He wasn’t allowing Elias to get too involved with self sabotage that he found no way out. I loved their brotherly love overall and can wait to dive into his story. I can tell he is gonna for sure be another hellion, but with a calmer spirit. Ez is the calm while Elias is the storm. The two together are not to be played with. He deserves a wife he loves and likes because the one he got need to exit immediately.

Christian..I’m still figuring if I like him or not. He’s ok and I definitely don’t like his wife.

The mental health representation and how well it was written truly shows KC Mills’ range and research within her writing. I had a loved one who had the same disorder and although it wasn’t to this level, I can see similarities and I know that sis did her big one with the research part. I loved this story so much. I can’t talk about this enough. I don’t want to have spoilers but I had to mention she did very well with this.
