The Days of Abandonment by Elena Ferrante

5.0

This is a really captivating book. There are loads of things I wish hadn't happened in it (otto, neighbours...) but I cant deny that it sweeps you up into the mind of somebody unraveling. At times I could really feel my reading pace increasing with crescendos linked to her mood/ actions. The door and key was distressing and clever (think bike lock). Not nice but very good.
