Becoming by Michelle Obama
5.0
I'm not a fan of non-fiction but I really wanted to give this one a try. I'm glad I did.
I was completely immersed in the story being told, I felt I was able to relate in some parts and share the same point of view in others.
What surprised me the most is that when I did relate or shared the same opinion I felt like I was discussing or better said listening to a friend instead of reading a book by an ex-first lady.
They stop being the first couple of a country where I don't actually live or lived before to become just a couple, with ideals and ambition but real people, and that to me was priceless.
How funny is it that some times we forget that politicians, celebrities, famous people overall they are actually "people" too with their stories and lives before and after of whatever it is that made them known.
I enjoyed more than what I had anticipated and left me with a better understanding of the times they lived in the white house.
