My rating was purely emotional, not a critique on the writing/story. It had some triggering content that I wasn’t expecting. Don’t get me wrong, it was a beautiful arc, Iris went through hell and was lucky enough to escape. From the synopsis, I was aware of the content I’d be wading into, however what I didn’t expect were full-on, graphic SA scenes. The abuse took up what felt like 2/3 of the book, so dear future reader, please be cautious.
