The Nice Guy Next Door by Haley Zaragoza

4.0

BRIEF SYNOPSIS: Millie just moved to Waverly with her teenage sister in tow after taking a job as the new children and teen librarian. It’s been a year since their dad died, but they’re doing their best to make it. When Millie moves in she meets her next door neighbor Jameson, gorgeous state trooper and grandson of her landlords. However, Millie shut her heart off from any potential relationship a long time ago. She’s just looking for a friend. But the more time she spends with Jameson, the more she wonders if maybe living in fear isn’t exactly what she wants.

Well this was just a cute little story. I think I stumbled upon this on a kindle daily deal. And it was just adorable. A real feel good happy rom com. I really loved the dynamic of Millie and her sister Lo. I really think they had a good balance in their relationship as sisters, but also where Millie had to be the parent sometimes. And Jameson was exactly what the title says: a total nice guy who lives next door. He was so patient with Millie. There was also a side plot in this that I did not expect, and it was a nice surprise. I really adored both of Jameson’s friends as well and can’t wait to read book two starting Seth and Millie’s friend Hannah (who happens to be the younger sister of Jameson’s and Seth’s friend Colby.)
