Love Contract is the perfect contemporary romance and it gave me everything I wanted. This had perfect pacing and it was a beautiful slow burn romance that I was craving from Sophie Lark.
I honestly did not really love the last couple of books by Sophie because they felt more like erotic romance and they were heavily centered around the spice. They both had instalust and a lot of smut, but I couldn't connect to characters or romance because it had so much sex. This book definitely does not do that and it focuses on the characters and chemistry.
Theo works for an Elon Musk type billionaire as his assistant, even though she really was supposed to be his private chef. Sullivan needs him to buy some of his land so he blackmails Theo into being his fake girlfriend so he can get into his circle. She ends up staying with him when her place has to get fumigated and their relationship quickly turns to more of a friends to lovers vibe.
I really loved the hero and heroine of this book. I truly felt their love and connection. They really got to know each other and built a beautiful relationship. Sully is super swoon-worthy and he shows his love in little ways. He knew so much about Theo, even though they were just fake dating. He was present and paid attention to her in a way no one has. Theo was such a kind and giving person who just wanted to take care of people and show her love with her food. I love everything she did to help his father.
I loved all of the characters, especially Sully's brother and father. I can't wait to read their books next.
