Watership Down took me a long time to get into, (didn’t buy in fully until about 50% in) but I’m certain the story will stick with me for a long time. Heroic, compelling. The author didn’t over-anthropomorphize the rabbits, yet created a surprisingly strong war strategy angle.

Strange + meaningful seeing prey animals have to rise to such levels of violence due to their circumstances.

Epilogue hurt a little bit.
