Leonard and Hungry Paul by Rónán Hession

4.0

This is such a lovely, heartwarming story of friendship that it feels like a hug. It's comforting, uplifting, and gives us hope in a society which is not as tolerant as it could be.

The friendship between Leonard and Hungry Paul is so rare nowadays. Theirs is simple yet strong. It shows that silence is gold, not always a hindrance and doesn't necessarily need to be filled in in a conversation, as Hungry Paul shows us whenever he visits Mrs Hawthorn at hospital, who finds peace in his silent presence.

I really enjoyed Rónán Hession's writing which is perfect for this book.
