elena armas's books keep going downhill for some reason. i loved the spanish love deception when i read it (5⭐️), then the american roommate experiment was nice but not as good (4⭐️), and the long game was just mid (3⭐️). it just didn't hit like a good juicy romance book is supposed to, and tbh the whole plot was just boring to me. i didn't love the characters or feel a strong longing for them to be together. of course it was cute at times and the guy was hot, but not anything special, you know? i feel like the praise kink girlies might get a kick out of this though lmao.
